The class will consist of a discussion on Yoga, the physical and psychic centers of energy and how to use these power centers to assist in calming the mind. There will be many different techniques given to help focus one's concentration. The practice of stillness, stopping the mind or emptying the mind will be taught. The power of mind in this attractive universe in which we live will also be explained along with how people create their reality. How to move beyond suffering to clarity is the primary focus of this practice. There will be a 15 minute discussion, 10 minutes of body energizing work, 10 minutes of breathing practice, and two or three practices to stop the mind.

Yoga Flow: Experience the union of body, mind, and spirit through strengthening and stretching, igniting your energy through connection with breath and movement. Through incorporating fluid movements of vinyasa flow yoga and using the inner fire of your core to energize and power your body, this class will help you to dive deep into your practice, and connect with Self. This is an energetic class, yoga experience is recommended, although all levels are welcome. Yoga Flow helps students connect with their true essence and build confidence in their yoga practice and abilities. We will end the class letting our energy cool, experiencing feelings of rejuvenation and peace of mind.

Yin-Yang Flow Wednesdays 7:15-8:15pm {Suitable for all levels} This is the perfect class to wind down and balance the body out after a busy day. We will start off with some luxurious restorative postures to sooth the mind and relax the muscles and connective tissues, followed by a short dynamic movement sequence designed to strengthen, lengthen and tone the body. The closing sequence will be comprised of some gentle heart openers and inversions to reverse the flow of blood, detoxify the system and prepare it for bed.

Yoga Fundamentals- A Self Led Practice

Enjoy the inspiration and energy of a group class while practicing at your own pace. This class meets each student exactly where they are and is open to all levels from absolute beginner to advanced practitioner. Each student moves at their own tempo and receives individualized one on one instruction in learning the Primary Series (a set sequence in the Ashtanga Vinyasa Tradition). The teacher will support the students with verbal instruction and hands-on adjustments as they learn to memorize the sequence and develop their own personal practice. Practice Cheat Sheets will be available so you can truly learn as you go along, even if you are not yet familiar with the sequence. Students may arrive at anytime during the open studio hours and practice for as long as they like. Quietly enter the room layout your mat and begin your practice.
